Safety, Workshop Practice and Hand Tools - CT
This is one of our many SAQCC-Fire Accredited training courses for individuals interested in registering as a Fire Detection and Alarm System Cabler.
Workshop Practice and Safety introduces learners to the work environment and its tools, equipment, workshops and work environment, safety regulations, policies and procedures applicable to health, safety and industry standards and systems.
It will equip learners with the necessary hands kills for the Fire Detection industry.
Workplace policies and procedures that conform to health and safety regulations and safe working practices will be learnt.
This subject precedes Cabling and Conduit and Pipes and Pipe Fitting skills course.
The following pre-requisites need to be in place:
- ABET 3 in Literacy
- A valid Grade 8 certificate with English and Mathematics
- Or an equivalent numeracy and literacy program completion
- Or evidence of having successfully completed any other training programme where the minimum requirements are the same asstipulated
- Or PRL - an assessment of the recognition of prior learning conducted
